Background
Dr Heinrich van Rensburg is a dermatologist, specializing in skin disease and cosmetic procedures.
He started his practice as a private dermatologist in January 2014 at the Wilmed Park Hospital in Klerksdorp. He recently relocated to George to join forces with a colleague, Dr Willem Fouche. Together they will provide a service to the patients of George, Mossel Bay and Oudtshoorn.
Their main practice is located at 22 Gloucester Lane in George and caters for patients of all ages. It is open for consultations from Mondays to Fridays.
Excisions, biopsies, curettages, cauterizations and cryotherapy can be performed in the rooms or in theatre. Services are rendered to both private and medical aid patients.

Dr Heinrich van Rensburg
Dr Heinrich van Rensburg was born on 5 May 1977 and grew up in the Eastern Cape town of Somerset East. He matriculated from Gill College in 1995 with an A-aggregate and was crowned as Sarie magazine's Top Teen for the same year.
He started his medical studies at the University of the Free State in 1996. He maintained his high academic standards throughout his six years of training and was honoured with a membership to the Golden Key Association for being in the top 10% of his class.
After graduating in 2001, he started his internship in Cape Town at the Tygerberg Hospital. The following year he completed his community service at the Cecilia Makiwane Hospital in Mdantsane outside of East London. After a one year working stint in the United Kingdom, he started working as a general practitioner in East London in 2005.
During this period he completed an Advanced Diploma in Occupational Health at the University of the Free State. In 2008 he moved back into the public health sector and worked as a principal medical officer at the Department of Internal Medicine at the Frere and Cecilia Makiwane Hospitals.
By the end of 2009 he moved back to Bloemfontein and in 2010 he started specialising in dermatology under the tutorship of Professor Werner Sinclair. He completed his MMed in dermatology at the end of 2013. During his specialisation studies he developed a keen interest in the early detection and management of skin cancers. He also participated in research and completed a case series as part of his master's degree.
Since finishing his studies he has also expanded his cosmetic skills by completing courses and workshops in botulinum toxin, dermal fillers, chemical peeling and platelet rich plasma. He utilises updated technology in the practice, like the Fotofinder Dermoscopy system for the early diagnosis of melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers.
Dr. van Rensburg has attended yearly dermatology congresses to stay up to date on the latest developments in the field. With five and a half years of private practice experience he is more than equipped to deal with any condition he encounters.
